After a lunchtime costume contest, Fountain Square continued to celebrate Halloween with a pumpkin-carving contest. Participants checked in with their pre-carved pumpkins. Judges - including former Cincinnati mayor Charlie Luken! - chose a winner that excelled in the following categories:

• Pumpkin Beauty
• Pumpkin Size
• Pumpkin Design Originality
  
• Pumpkin Design Complexity
  

Congratulations to Aaron Wempe - first place, James Klaty - second place and Nathan Reilly - third place!

A grand prize of $500 was awarded to the top winner. First and second runners-up received noncash prizes such as gift cards and attraction tickets.
