On the day after Thanksgiving, Light Up the Square kicks off the holiday season in Cincinnati, including Santa's arrival and the opening of the ice skating rink on Fountain Square.

Light Up is a special occasion for children and families. In 2008, Light Up will be a two-hour party with holiday music club-style, dancing, and skating. The tree will be bigger and brighter than ever before. Santa Claus will make multiple appearances while elves mix and mingle with the crowd, handing out goodies and taking photographs for the video board. At the end of the party, a fireworks display will cap off the evening.

Light Up is just the first of many events and activities on Fountain Square during the holidays. Sponsorship recognition continues through all five weeks of this important and busy season in downtown Cincinnati.
