Fountain Square started Thanksgiving early with yet another wacky event!
We bowled frozen turkeys on the Fountain Square ice rink, because it’s silly and fun. The person who knocked down the most pins in three throws won $100 cash. Congratulations to Bill Stoutenburg from Batavia, knocking down 19 pins out of 30.
To play, participants had to bring two non-perishable food items* or a $5 donation to the Fountain Square ice rink at noon on Tuesday, November 24. We were honored to donate 25 bags of food and $155 to a local charity.
Special thanks to Rewind 94.9 for their media sponsorship!
*Suggested food items: canned meat products (tuna, chicken, ham, spaghetti with meatballs, chili with meat and beans, beef stew, beans and hot dogs, etc.), peanut butter, canned vegetables and fruits, canned soups, and boxed macaroni and cheese. Please, no glass items.
