About us:

Fountain Square volunteers are bright, energetic doers who help create positive experiences for visitors. In the past year, volunteers have, among other things:

  • filled Easter eggs with candy and hidden eggs during the egg hunt
  • checked in teams for the Cinciditarod urban shopping cart race
  • announced broomball games on the ice rink
  • served beer and soft drinks at events, including many live music events and movie nights
  • stage-managed the Light Up event
  • monitored event exit points
  • taken pictures for our web site and sponsorship proposals
  • emcee'd a water balloon toss and coney eating contest

Many nonprofits hold events to raise money to fund their services, but at Fountain Square Management, our events are our services. We fulfill our mission by actively programming Fountain Square to bring more activity and investment to downtown and the region.

If you would like to help, please join our e-mail list to find out about volunteer opportunities as they arise. Also see below for immediate volunteer needs. If you have questions, feel free to contact Event Manager Suzanne Schindler at sschindler@3cdc.org or 513.621.4400 x124. Thank you!

Fountain Square Management Group is a nonprofit organization that plans and produces events and manages the day to day operations of Fountain Square. FSMG is a subsidiary of 3CDC and supports its mission to develop Cincinnati’s center city as a region of high-value real estate and employment sustained by a diverse mix of housing, culture, and entertainment.

Immediate Volunteer Needs

Call for Volunteers: St Patrick's Parade Block Marshals
Saturday, March 13, 2010
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help monitor the 44th annual St Patrick's Parade. Block marshals are positioned along the parade route and ensure that the parade keeps moving and rules are observed. Marshals communicate on radio with parade organizers as needed. Volunteers will check in at Fountain Square to receive brief training before being assigned to a block in pairs or alone.

Block marshals get to see the parade up close and feel the satisfaction of being part of the event. We will also give you free parking and a drink ticket to the party the following WEDNESDAY.

For more about the parade, click here. The parade is organized by the Cincinnati St Patrick's Parade Committee with support from Fountain Square Management Group.

To sign up or if you have questions, please contact Event Manager Suzanne Schindler today at sschindler@3cdc.org.  Thank you!
