Food Truckin’ for Josh Cares
June 18, 2014 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Do you love food trucks? Don’t miss out on the second annual Food Truckin’ for Josh Cares: Presented by General Mills and Kroger event, from 11 am to 2 pm on Wednesday June 18 in Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati.
Sample food from 10 diverse food trucks that represent the best of the city; taste everything from Korean tacos to gelato to gourmet grilled cheese, and so much more! The food trucks include: New Orleans To Go, Red Sesame, Street Pops, Urban Grill, Dojo Gelato, C’est Cheese, SugarSnap! Sweet Treats, Texas Joe and Eli’s BBQ. Truck Shop – which is a mobile fashion boutique – will also be on hand so you can get your shopping on during your lunch break as well!
The event is free and perfect for downtown workers or families. You can sample food from 10 diverse food trucks that represent the best of the city – with items starting at just $2.
Best of all, proceeds benefit Josh Cares, whose mission is to provide companionship and comfort to children hospitalized in critical and chronic care units in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Josh Cares Child Life Specialists serve as surrogates for, and links to, the families who would be by their children’s sides if they could. The event is organized by the Josh Cares Young Professional Council.
Warm 98 will be broadcasting live from the event and judging the “Golden Spatula Awards” contest, with best entree and best sweet treat chosen by a celebrity panel that includes Elizabeth Mariner, Co-Publisher and Creative Director for Express Cincinnati; Ilene Ross, chef and editor of 513Eats.com; and Jeremy Lieb, Executive Chef at Boca.
