The Rise Up Series presents Sophie B. Hawkins

Fountain Square’s KMK Law Fifth & Vine Live Concert Series and Memorial Hall OTR's Rise Up Series are coming together this Saturday to present Grammy® nominated singer/songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins FREE at Fountain Square. This free community concert kicks off Memorial Hall OTR's 2022/2023 Rise Up Series. This event is supported by the generosity of community contributions to the ArtsWave Campaign.

About Sophie B. Hawkins: Sophie B. Hawkins has been tugging at heartstrings for decades with her powerful storytelling, crafting dizzying tunes that idle between the potently forlorn and the strangely comforting. Sophie B. Hawkins burst onto the international music scene with her 1992 platinum-selling debut album, Tongues and Tails, earning her a Best New Artist Grammy nomination. The musical and theatrical acts showcased throughout the 12-month series place dynamic and empowered female leads center stage at Memorial Hall in the heart of Over-The-Rhine, inspiring women of all ages and backgrounds. The Rise Up Women’s Series continues at Memorial Hall with performances by folk trio Girl Named Tom, charming children’s musical Pinkalicious, iconic singer/songwriters Madeleine Peyroux & Paula Cole, and beloved international folk act The Wailin’ Jennys. Fountain Bar is open daily serving Coca-Cola products, Bud Light, Golden Road, Michelob Ultra, Modelo, Heineken, Taft’s Brewing Co., White Claw, Bud Light Seltzer and a variety of wine by Dark Horse and Yes Way Rose as well as select spirits. No outside alcohol is permitted on the Square. Bags and coolers are subject to search. Those bringing in outside alcohol may be ticketed for open container.
