VIRTUAL Macy's Light Up the Square

Welcome Fountain Square into YOUR homes on Friday, Nov. 27 for a Virtual and Televised Macy's Light Up the Square. Broadcast begins at 7:30pm.

Viewers at home will be able to watch the broadcast on Channel 5 and participate virtually in several ways including the opportunity to have their own tree lighting shown at the end of the broadcast.

Put up your tree early this year and film your household lighting your tree for the first time of the season. Submit it to us for a chance to be featured in our broadcast. It’s 2020, there are no rules that say your tree can’t go up before Thanksgiving so just go for it! Please submit your content by Nov. 23 by posting your tree lighting photos or video to social media with the hashtag #LUTS2020. Tag us on social using @myfountainsquare to be shared on social as well.

The show, hosted by WLWT-TV anchors Sheree Paolello and Mike Dardis, will be mostly pre-recorded, but will feature live check-ins at some of the typical holiday host spots including the ice rink, winter markets, Downtown restaurants, and more.

Downtown visitors are kindly asked not to gather at the Square on Nov. 27 this year without a reservation for the ice rink, to avoid overcrowding the space. The tree will be lit in advance at an unannounced day and time, and there will not be any fireworks. Rink reservations are open can be made on MyFountainSquare.com.
