Fountain Square Ice Rink

The O’Keeffe’s Ice Rink, Presented by Fifth Third Bank is an outdoor ice arena that will take over Fountain Square from Halloween through President’s Day. The rink includes admissions and rental tents with 600 pairs of skates; a full-service concessions tent with hot and cold snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The rink is open to skaters of all ages. The rink operates seven days a week with Pre-Holiday, Holiday, and Post-Holiday hours listed below.

Monday – Sunday: 9a to 11p
Post-Holiday Hours (Jan 2 – Feb 19)
Monday – Thursday: 12p to 5p
Broomball: 6p to 10p
Friday- Sunday 12p to 9p
Exceptions: January 2, 3, 4: 12p-9p; February 19th 12p-9p
Amenities include skate rental, lockers, benches, and concessions options.

Cost: $6.00 admission and $4.00 skate rental. Payable by cash or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/AmEx).
Children under 55 inches must be accompanied by an adult while on the ice. Admission and skate rental close one hour before the rink closes. Times are subject to change due to weather or special events. Although the rink can stay cold up to about 60 degrees air temperature in dry weather, warm temperatures with high humidity or rain can make the rink unskatable and cause it to be closed temporarily. Parking in the Fountain Square Garage makes access easy and affordable, and with so many shops and restaurants within a few blocks, Fountain Square is a popular winter destination. Convenient, affordable parking is also available just one block away at the new 84.51° Garage.
Every 2 to 3 hours, skaters must clear the ice for 15-20 minutes while the rink is resurfaced.
LYKINS ENERGY SOLUTIONS WARMING TENT
The Lykins Energy Solutions Warming Tent is available for birthday parties, corporate events, holiday parties, private rentals and group outings or for anyone who just wants to have a party. To make a reservation or to inquire about availability, please contact Andrea Hawkins at AHawkins@3cdc.org.
Need to refuel after an afternoon of skating? Stop by Fountain Square’s Concessions for a hot drink, snacks. We proudly serve Coca-Cola products. Choose from a variety of beers including: Budlight, Budweiser, Moerlein, Angry Orchard, Golden Road Sunset Coffee, and Taft Gavel Banger as well as Seven Daughters Pinot Noir and Moscato.
Secured and unsecured lockers for shoes, purses, bags, etc. are located on the rink platform. See rink staff regarding small fee for secured lockers.
We offer rental skates in Youth sizes 8-4, Women’s sizes 5-13, and Men’s sizes 5-13. Skates are rented first-come, first-serve. If we are out of your size, we will offer a similar size if available or wait until more skates are returned.
We also offer:
- Traction Aids: Adult size traction aids for parents that want to WALK with their kids on the ice. Note: Individuals without proper footwear are NOT permitted on the ice.
- Dual Blade Adjustable Skates: For Kids Only. These strap onto sneakers and allow the child to learn to balance without injury. Please check with rink staff for available sizes.
The ice rink may be reserved for private parties. Private rentals must take place outside the rink’s normal public hours. A 50% deposit is due at time of booking to hold a reservation, with the balance due one day prior. If a reservation is canceled with at least 72 hours’ notice, the deposit with be refunded. The Fountain Square ice rink is great for school field trips, office outings, family outings, kids’ parties, social club activities, and more. Group visits may be scheduled any time the rink is open.
Groups of more than 30 are asked to call the rink ahead at 513-381-0782 during rink hours with the date and hours you plan to be at the rink and an approximate headcount. When you arrive, a group representative will need to identify group members as they enter, and rink staff will keep a tally. Once everyone is in, the representative will pay all the admissions and rentals at once. Payment may be made by cash or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/American Express). Paying as a group saves you time at the register and gives your group members more time to skate!
Groups should be aware that during public hours, rink admission and skate rentals are first-come, first-serve, and rink capacity is about 200 people.
