With the move of the UC Health Ice Rink presented by Fifth Third Bank to Elm Street Plaza, we’re excited to introduce a new tradition to Fountain Square: Winterhaus! Winterhaus is a cozy, glass-enclosed tented retreat in the heart of the city. Complete with daily programming, a full bar, and space for everything from co-working to private events, Winterhaus will be a hub for festive fun from November through February.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Winterhaus is 21+, minors are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Please be prepared to show your ID at the door!

Fountain Square rules apply in Winterhaus in addition to:
- Minors unaccompanied by an adult are not permitted.
- Adults are required to show ID at the entrance.
- The Facility is for active/intended use only. Patrons are welcome to bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages, but at least one member of any group utilizing the space must purchase at least one item from Winterhaus.
- Individuals who do not purchase an item from the Winterhaus are respectfully asked to limit their time in seated spaces to no more than 30 minutes to accommodate other patrons.
- To ensure this space is accessible and enjoyable for all intended guests, please limit use of seats provided to 1-hour.
For health and safety of all patrons:
- Basic hygiene and appearance standards must be maintained while inside the Winterhaus.
- Laying down and/or placing feet on furniture is not permitted.
- Pathways must be kept clear.
To maintain adequate seating and space for all patrons, each visitor is permitted:
- 1 small personal item (Purse, tote, laptop bag, diaper bag, etc.)
- We ask that items remain with the patron at all times and where possible, placed under their seats and/or free of pathways.
- No carts, wagons, oversized bags, or multiple large items.
- Items left unattended on the Square will be considered abandoned and will be discarded
