Join us in welcoming one of the newest holiday traditions to Cincinnati with a weekend full of Winter fun!
During the opening weekend of Winterhaus presented by Visit Cincy, come take a look at this new festive hotspot and experience things like the Duke Energy Tree Arrival and CVG’s Fountain of Lights, capture the memory with custom ornaments and photo-ops, and kick off the holiday season by soaking up the festive energy on Cincinnati’s beloved Fountain Square. All events are free and open to the public!
Saturday, November 15th
7a – 11a | The Duke Energy Holiday Tree Arrives to Fountain Square
Watch as O’Rourke Wrecking Company hoists this year’s holiday tree into place & tops it with the star.
9a – 11a | Tree Trimming Party Inside of Winterhaus
Participate in a free ornament making craft with Not Your Average Paint & Sip, decorate cookies, enjoy holiday music, and get a first glance at Winterhaus.
11a – 4p | Afternoon Piano at Winterhaus
Enjoy some Winter tunes from Meg Kecskes as you explore the cozy vibe of Winterhaus! The bar will be open serving hot chocolate, Coca Cola products, and alcoholic beverages. Outside of Winterhaus, Rock On Ice will be creating ice sculptures for a fun photo op.
6p – 10p | Winterhaus Grand Opening Party presented by Visit Cincy
Celebrate the Grand Opening of Winterhaus with your community, enjoy live music from Ben Levin, create a keepsake ornament, win some Fountain District swag, capture the moment with a photo-op, and experience CVG’s Fountain of Lights debut.
Sunday, November 16th
10a – 11a | Sunday Sound Bath
Start your Sunday on the right foot with a relaxing Sound Bath inside of Winterhaus.
11a – 4p | Tailgate in the Tent
Help us cheer on our Bengals at a Watch Party at Winterhaus!
4.- 8p | Ozinnati
Step into the Emerald Cincy where Winterhaus will be filled with a ton of Oz photo-ops, costume contests, poetry readings, movie screenings, and more!
About Winterhaus
With the move of the UC Health Ice Rink presented by Fifth Third Bank to Elm Street Plaza, Fountain Square is excited to introduce a new winter tradition this year: Winterhaus! Winterhaus is a cozy, heated, glass-enclosed tented retreat located right on the plaza of the Square.
Complete with daily programming, a full bar, and space for everything from co-working to private events, Winterhaus will be the hub for festive fun from November through February.
