Duke Energy's Light Up the Square

Light Up the Square returns Friday, November 29th. Kick off the holiday season at this beloved annual celebration! The evening will feature live music, dance performances, an appearance by Santa Claus, and a dazzling fireworks display. Make sure you're here so you can help us LIGHT UP this year's Duke Energy Holiday Tree.

The formal program begins at 6:30pm when we will be joined by our co-hosts Sheree Paolello and Mike Dardis from WLWT Channel 5 and Natalie Jones from Q102.

• 10:00am| The Fountain Square Bar & UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank Opens
• 6:00pm | Live Music from 2nd Wind Band
• 6:30pm | Live 1-hour Broadcast with WLWT Channel 5 begins including Tree Lighting Ceremony and Firework Display
• 7:30 – 9:00pm | Live Music from 2nd Wind Band Continues
• 10:00pm| The Fountain Square Bar & UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank Closes

The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank, will be open for skating all day and evening, 10a-10pm. Rink admission is walk up only, no reservations, so arrive early to ensure you can get a spot on the ice and your skate size. 2nd Wind Band will begin performing at 6pm and will keep the music going till 9pm.

Our Fountain Bar features a delicious selection of Coca-Cola products, beer, wine, seltzer and liquor from brands like Boone County Distilling Co, Toledo Spirits Co, Taft’s Ale House, Rhinegeist Brewery, Fifty West Brewing Company, Bud Light, Heineken, White Claw, Yes Way Rosé, NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer, Cutwater Spirits, Stella Artois, Michelob Ultra, Modelo, and Dark Horse. No outside alcohol is permitted at the Square. Bags and coolers are subject to search. Those bringing in outside alcohol may be ticketed for open container.

PARKING: Looking for secure parking? Try the Fountain Square garage with vehicular entrances on Vine and Walnut streets (this garage will fill quickly), the 84.51 garage at 120 W. 5th Street, with entrances on both 5th and 6th Streets, or the 4th & Race garage at 411 Race Street with entrances on Elm and Race streets. Fountain Square is located at 520 Vine Street in Downtown Cincinnati.
